She continues to shine for Sweden 15 years after her debut with the national team. The AC Milan star was instrumental in guiding the Swedes to the World Cup’s Final Four. At 33, she remains one of the world’s most feared attackers.

#7: 2022-23 Topps UCC Living Set #512 – Aitana Bonmatí

With Alexia Putellas out with a knee injury for most of 2022-23, Bonmatí laced up her cleats and took her game to another level for her club Barcelona and Spain’s national team. The marvelous midfielder spearheaded Barcelona to its second Champions League title in team history and was named the tournament’s Best Player by UEFA. To cap it all off, Bonmatí earned the Golden Ball for the best player in the Women’s World Cup after Spain defeated England in the final.

After 17 years with Team USA – and advocating for LGBTQ rights, equal pay, and more on the biggest stage in women’s soccer – Rapinoe feels at peace with retirement. Rapinoe has said that playing for the USWNT is “the greatest thing” she’s ever done. Here’s to a grand finale for a true soccer icon.
