With Alexia Putellas out with a knee injury for most of 2022-23, Bonmatí laced up her cleats and took her game to another level for her club Barcelona and Spain’s national team. The marvelous midfielder spearheaded Barcelona to its second Champions League title in team history and was named the tournament’s Best Player by UEFA.
