1952 Mother’s Cookies #4 Chuck Connors
Something about the smell of freshly baked cookies brings back memories of our childhood and reminds us of mom’s love. In 1952, Mother’s Cookies tapped into that nostalgia and began producing baseball cards as a promotional giveaway. Their first set of 64 cards featured players from the Pacific Coast League, including a young Chuck Connors, who earned the fourth card in the set. Connors was a true Renaissance man as one of 13 athletes to play in both the MLB and NBA. He also boasts a career that spans the MLB and NBA. Now that’s a resume any mother would love to brag about.
2017 Topps Salute Mother’s Day #S-24 Joey Votto

The card features the Breast Cancer Awareness Logo and recounts Votto’s incredible performance on Mother’s Day in 2012. On that day, he hit three home runs, including a walk-off grand slam to defeat the Nationals. After the game, his mom called him and thanked the slugger for his amazing performance.
