On Wednesday, the women’s soccer hobby takes another leap with the release of 2023/24 Topps Chrome UEFA Women’s Champions League, the third Chrome offering for the premier women’s European soccer competition.

This year’s base set features 100 cards, including a spectacular class of rookies such as Real Madrid’s Linda Caicedo, American star Korbin Albert, and 17-year-old phenom Lily Yohannes of AFC Ajax. A deep list of signers, an impressive curation of inserts, and the debut of autographed relic cards help this year’s edition set a new benchmark for Topps Chrome and the women’s game.

2023/24 Topps Chrome UWCL Builds On Topps Soccer Designs

“This product shares the beautiful base design that features across a variety of this year’s Chrome soccer offerings, and where it really comes into its own is in the unique artwork found on the inserts,” said Topps Associate Product Manager of Soccer Hobby Products Jared Bomba. “Our primary aim is to celebrate the UEFA Women’s Champions League for what it is, a world-class football competition, while highlighting the unique personalities that make the game so appealing.”

“The goal of this design is to get fans and collectors to really engage with the players and competitions,” continued Bomba. “That means having genuine women’s football fans working on the product, diligent research to stay on the cutting edge of rosters with emerging rookies, and artwork that leverages both the universality and the unique elements of the tournament itself.”

Returning Inserts Continue to Build on Topps Chrome UWCL Legacy

Queens of Football is one insert that the Topps Chrome UWCL team knew it had to bring back. “This insert quickly became a favorite, and it’s easy to see why,” said Bomba. “Clever use of depth and light make for an engaging design and a platform for the players to be shown at their most regal.”

Rare case-hit insert Fierce also returns to the fold. The eye-catching player images contrast vividly with the fiery visuals on display.

Debut Inserts Add Flavor to Topps Chrome UWCL

Power On makes its first appearance in a Topps Chrome UWCL set. It is capturing the electricity brought to the competition by the likes of Salma Paralluelo, Guro Reiten, and eight-time UWCL winner (and scorer of 48 UWCL goals) Eugénie Le Sommer. This insert puts a charge into the hands of collectors.

Inside Look aims to deliver a Stadium Club-style insert into 2023/24 Topps Chrome UEFA Women’s Champions League. Bomba explained, “The photo-forward design approach central to Stadium Club is a great way to exhibit the competition’s grit, style, and passion. The resulting cards cleverly blur the lines between top-shelf design and excellent photography, with the help of some of the tournament’s most telling images.”

Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, and Catarina Macario lead the pack in the new Topps Chrome Layers insert.

2023/24 Topps Chrome UWCL Levels Up with Autos and Relics

The list of signers in this year’s set features an array of legends like Sam Kerr, current superstars like Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmatí, and prospects like Linda Caicedo and Corventina (who combine for a particularly sensational dual auto card).

The debut of Official Draw Card Autograph Relics and Chrome Premium Autograph Relics brings signed cards with game-worn memorabilia from the world’s best into the Topps Chrome UWCL universe. This is just the latest expansion for a Topps Chrome UWCL product that continues to bring new layers of excitement for fans and collectors of Women’s European soccer to get their hands on. The newly-released 2023/24 Topps Chrome UEFA Women’s Champions League set continues to raise the bar just like the group of players that bring it to life.
